One toilet is over flowing, the sink has a clog,
The alarm clock is broken, I missed my morning jog.
...
My breakfast is burning, my left shoe is chewed,
If I’m late to work this morning, I am screwed.
...
Coffee down my white shirt, the dog won’t come inside.
Is today really necessary, I just want to hide.
...
I have no idea what’s happened to my keys
I’m about to give up and fall to my knees.
...
Finally in my car, but the low fuel light is on,
I need to leave, before my sanity is gone.
...
Traffic is horrible as I inch down the road,
Got stuck behind a truck carrying a wide load.
...
I see my work building, standing there ahead,
Usually I’d be nervous, luckily my watch is dead.
...
The parking lot is empty, I’m not too late,
Maybe I made it here before it turned eight.
...
Every desk is empty, I search with all my might
My stomach feels queasy, this isn’t right.
...
I call my secretary, and dread to hear her say,
“Didn’t you get the memo, today’s a holiday.”

One Way
My head begins to hurt, which way should I go?
Must I really decide, because I don’t know.
What more can I do to better understand my choice?
I can’t stand it anymore I’m tired of that voice.
Left or right proves to be,
the most difficult decision for me.
My mind still tossing about what to do,
there are so many choices, yet so few.
Open my mind, look right in,
Its getting warmer and the ice is thin.
Its time to make my choice, which one is the best?
Will I be able to pass this horrible test?
How can I select what’s best in the end?
I have to decide no way to pretend.
For me there’s only one way.
I need to get on my knees and pray.
